Volume 23 Issue 5, May 2026  What's New in May  We’ve taken stock of the flowers and plants that didn’t survive the freeze, and it looks like most of our plants are going to be fine. We did have to cut them down to the base, so they could regrow, which is sad for my 15-foot jatropha. Volume 23 Issue 4, April 2026  What's New in April  Winter was so hard on my tropical plants that some need replacement. We had several hours of hard freeze that my plants weren't able to survive, and it’s been over a decade (if not longer) since we’ve had a hard freeze in my neck of the woods. With the loss of some of my flowering tropicals, my butterflies are looking elsewhere; however, most everyone in my area lost their flowers, so butterflies are finding pickings slim.
