Ocean Breeze and Orchid Prints

Volume 23 Issue 10, October 2026

What's New in October

Fall is in the air! While I don’t have a lot of leaves that fall around me—the maple trees are not quite yellow yet—we did skip out of town and took a look at everything fall-like in northern Virginia and Maryland as we visited Assateague and Chincoteague islands. Harry got his first real face full of ocean air and dipped his toes into the ocean. Even though we live by the ocean, there are no real places for him to take a dip. He was happy to flop down in the sand and let the wind blow. We saw some wild ponies and lots of shore birds. It was part of a great vacation that included Charleston, Jamestown, Colonial Williamsburg, and Yorktown. We even got a ferry ride in and some cabin camping at the Healing Springs in West Jefferson. All in all, we had a great time and got refreshed in time for the holiday shopping.

What’s New

Coastal Christmas: I spent some days creating a lot of coastal Christmas cards for my wholesale folks and my local shops. They are in batches and as single postcards

Prints:  I took my orchid photos and created a 2027 calendar, and then 8x10 prints for people who love orchids and flowers. There will be matching notecards in the next couple of days.

Journal Kits: Between hardback journals and soft covered personalized notebooks, there are notebooks everywhere. To make the hardback journals even better, I have added 3x3 notepads, some bookmarks, and matching sticker sheets. Right now, they are rather scattered, but I will be pulling this together before long. The hardbacks are one-off at the moment because of the time it takes to make them, but soft-covers are plentiful

Until next month,

Julie

Things to Look Forward To:

New Products:

Journals: I have published a number of journals and booklets that I don’t have in the shop yet, but they are coming. I am doing bundles and booklets focused on boutiques.

Notepads: I have figured out the notepads and now have a lot of 7.5 x 2 inch scraps that are ready to print for new books.

Scrapbook pieces: The first few tests of scrapbook pieces have been a success, so I will get these into production soon.
