Greeting Cards and Butterflies
Volume 23 Issue 2, February 2026  What's New in February I’ve been so busy working on new greeting cards that I forgot to update the BluPrint for February! Crazy, huh? I’ve also battled a nasty head cold since January 1st, so I’ve been a bit out of it.  As of now, I have about 40 new greeting cards and 15 post cards for a Florida bakery and gift shop that will open this month. I am also working on some writer’s tools like character notebooks, etc. I got a binding machine that I am looking forward to trying out. It...
Happy New Year and Passion Flowers
Volume 23 Issue 1, January 2026 What's New in January Another New Year and with that comes high hopes and a sense of fresh starts. As I finish the revamping of the online store for Blue Morning Expressions, you'll see a lot more products as I keep working on trying out new things and experimenting with new ideas. My hummingbird and butterfly gardens are expanding as I discover new host plants and find local, native plants that the butterflies love. I only saw two hummingbirds on my small salvia plant, so I have high hopes that there will be more...
Lazy Panda and Dragons
Volume 22 Issue 12, December 2025 What's New in December? Another year almost over. Soon we’ll welcome 2026 and I’ll have to remember to type 2026 in all of my correspondence. It’s been an exciting year at BME with the introduction of all types of notecards and sticker sets. So many great designs and so many ideas on the desk to get 2026 off to a great start. It’s feeling like winter in Florida with grey skies (so not the norm) and cooler temperatures. The snowbirds are slowly settling in and the bird feeder is full of those of the...
Pandas and Christmas Stickers
Volume 22 Issue 11, November 2025 What's New in November? As I write this, Hurricane Melissa is poised to destroy Jamaica, so our prayers are with all of those in her path. Especially knowing that it will sit on top of them for a day or so. There are many people ready to help, so if you can help, please donate to any verified organization that is poised to get help where it’s needed. On a lighter side, I headed to New England for a trip through the fall leaves, which has become a bit of a limited tradition as...
Throw Pillows and Fall Leaves
Volume 22 Issue 10, October 2025 What's New in October? Time for fall leaves—yes, we get a few down here in the tropics—and pumpkin everything. There will be pies again this year, and hopefully, Harry won’t help himself to one fresh from the oven again. Lots of plans for the holidays, including tending to my butterfly garden as I trim back the long milkweed stalks that are poking out of the pots. Plus, it’s good to trim back the milkweed in the winter so the butterflies migrate as they’re supposed to. Or so I am told. The tropics are busy,...
