Orchids and Autumn Weather

Volume 23 Issue 11, November 2026

What's New in November

Fall is in the air here in Florida. That means northeast breezes and bigger waves. We’ve seen beach erosion from the steady winds, and the King Tide has flooded a lot of areas that normally don’t flood. We’ve been fortunate that we’ve had not any hurricanes on the East Coast of Florida this year.

It’s getting close to the holidays, so shopping handmade is in full swing already, and there are so many wonderful gift ideas from handmade artists in our annual Countdown to Christmas blog posts that you’ll find something for everyone.

While I have new projects on the horizon as I finally finish redoing my little office/art room/studio/spare bedroom that I can’t wait to be done, so I can start. Between painting and getting new furniture, it doesn't look like the same place I’ve been working for the last 20 years.

Enjoy one of my stylized orchid photos from the Vero Beach Gardenfest:

What’s New

Notecards: New notecards include my orchid photos and Midwestern artwork from Susan Carson.

Notepads:  I am adding more and more design options as I go. My first 40 or so are on the web now.

Stickers: I am experimenting with stickers and coloring books. I’ve been sidetracked by some other projects, but they are still on the board.

Until next month,

Julie

Handmade CNA Life Journal, Bookmark & Notepad Gift Set

A spiral-bound notebook with a floral and bird-themed cover is shown with two overlapping sticker sheets featuring birds, birdhouses, flowers, and small decorative motifs on a white background.

Things to Look Forward To:

New Products:

Journals: My journals and stationery bundles are done and out. I have now added a lot of softcover journals to the list.

Notepads: The small ones are out, and now I am working on new sizes and sets.

Bookmarks: I have some sets done and sold already, so I am adding to the group.
